Dog in the Arboretum

A busy day working in Derby today, but between lengthy meetings in the morning and the afternoon I found time for a very quick walk to the arboretum.

In one corner of the park I came across a group of six squirrels having a great time sifting through the fallen leaves searching out nuts and acorns. I was just about to take a photo of them when this dog bounded onto the scene, clearly thinking there was a great game to be had. The squirrels all immediately dashed up the trees, leaving the pooch peering up at them.

So for my blip I have a portrait of the dog rather than the squirrels. He was rather lovely though.
