Lord of all he surveys

I spend the morning catching up on my epic backlog of administrative work, while Liz takes the kids off to the beach. I make good headway and resolve to get our accountant to take on more if this now the amount of work is growing rapidly.

In the afternoon I prepare for deployment of a robotic lawnmower. It takes a while, but everything seems to work. The kids delight by having it trundle between their legs on its random walk. We’re now down to two internal combustion engines – strimmer and snow-blower. The new mower is almost silent.

After dinner, Liz leaves for the mountains in our other electric vehicle, with camping kit. The weather doesn’t look good though, and an hour after she’s gone it starts to rain.
