30 Days Wild Day 9 - Bramble.
A fascinating morning particularly for Kanyl, we visited the National Emergency Services Museum. The building (according to the volunteer I was talking to) was the first combined Fire & Police station. Naturally the Fire Brigade figured greatly in the museum. Coming from a fire service family (Brother Father and Grandfather) there were many memories among the vehicles and equipment.
This was followed by a wonderful BBQ in the garden, perfect weather and good food. What more could you want, well the grandkids had a great time in the paddling pool joined eventually by Clickychick.
As if the activities of the day weren't tiring enough we went out in then evening (partly for more liquid supplies) and found opportunities to examine wild natural things. Of the things I photographed these Bramble buds (Rubus fruticosus) seemed best. It looks like there will be a good crop later in the year.
