Lovage

I've had this lovage plant for decades. It had been uprooted, divided and replanted in at least three different gardens. It starts to grow early in the year and goes to seed early too. It's about 9 foot tall. This year it was so slow to get going I began to wonder if it had fallen foul of the long, cold winter. But, as you see, it hadn't. It isn't particularly attractive but I'd have been sorry to lose it.

Apart from the going-to-seed lovage I thought it important to record the blue sky which I think is going to be replaced by strong winds and heavy rain over the next few days.
