Raining again!

Not the photo I had planned for today!
More rain and another difficult journey!

Fortunately we arrived at our hotel just outside Castelnaudary as the rain stopped.
However our planned walk along the Canal du Midi had to be cancelled as the heavens opened once again, and the photo shows the water cascading from the roof. ( taken from our bedroom window)

We had a wonderful meal last night.
As good as the last time we were there.
A Kir with Pineau des Charentes was a good start.
Followed by Rochelaise fish soup, and then Moules Marinieres.

Tonight we have had Cassoulet traditional Maison. Well we had to as it is the specialty of the town.
Such a huge helping, which was delicious, but we just couldn’t eat it all. ( we did notice other couples were having one between two)
A nice bottle of Minervois went with it very well. Certainly too full for a dessert.

Having an early night, and it is raining again!!
Still enjoying France despite the weather.
