St Cecilia

We attended a musical event in Greenbank Church this afternoon and I was able to see the stained glass windows for the first time. This is the music window, with st Cecilia surrounded by angels playing different instruments.
 I was unable to take photos during the event, but the discussion centred on the role of music and voice in our churches, and included talented performances by eight choral scholars from St Martins-in-the Fields to demonstrate different styles of music which may appeal to a variety of tastes.
As choral singers we found the event  most interesting.
