Another world

After a lovely kipper breakfast we set off to the ferry and had the smoothest of crossings. Started a bit cloudy but as we arrived in Stornoway the sun broke through and we had a lovely drive to the B&B, stopping at a rather nice cafe/art gallery and then Carloway Broch. Fascinating to walk through and surprisingly well preserved (that's the Broch, not hazelh and mrhazelh who you can see peeping out!)
The setting of Baile-na-Cille is stunning. After a quick unpack we went on a lovely walk around the vast beach with walkingmarj (extras) before back for an enormous and delicious dinner and lots of chat and laughter. 
Absolutely gorgeous place and I feel very lucky to be sharing it with them all - their knowledge and love of the place makes it even more special.
No phone signal or broadband so really away from it all!
