Ferry at rest

till the morning rush hour. I am at West Lynn looking across the Great Ouse to King's Lynn. It's a few minutes past high tide, the flow is due north towards the left and beyond to The Wash and North Sea.

The spire belongs to St Nicholas Chapel, it's immediate locality is the North End, and only the north enders can use the chapel for life's key events - hatches, matches and dispatches.

The bunch of young people on the river bank opposite are simply enjoying the evening.
