Snail like

After yesterday's mammoth day out in Newquay (when I had no sleep time till the evening); today Ann said I could take it easy. Take it easy?!!! ….....................She made me go for my afternoon walk early afternoon and it was mega hot then. I didn't actually want to go for my walk then. It was too hot. I wandered along the lane and I was being slower than a snail. I kept stopping to sniff things and then I had to run to catch Ann up. It was very exhausting! Ann went to work 2.30-7.30pm and then had a glass of wine so she didn't get home until 8.15pm. Normally I am sound asleep when she comes home but today I was full of beans. Still don't understand what 'full of beans means'. I never eat beans???



Anyway, I had a 10 min wander around in the field when Ann got home. The trouble is..................... when I go in the field I get put on my extendable lead. Apparently if I'm not on a lead I do stuff like poo-ing miles away from Ann and sniffing and being slow, miles away from Ann and just generally being snail like???



…..........I didn't get my dinner until 8.30pm tonight. Normally I get my dinner at 5pm so obviously I was very hungry. I gobbled it all up.................... including my pills (for osteoarthritis) that I normally leave so that Ann feeds me them with bits of cheese.



Oooooops.......................... I really must learn to be more alert so that I get more tasty treats!!!!!
