2018 Thursday — 7th Day of Vacation

Today was the first day of our three day “Moving Sale.” The entire event is being handled by the professional who did the estate sale at Grammie Fun’s house. It all ends Saturday at 3:00. Then we can take as much of the leftovers as we want and then Monday the man who cleans it all out will arrive to take away what remains. The escrow closes Monday afternoon.

It was warm here today— in the nineties. We are now living in a house with no air conditioning, so we are delighted that the weather app claims tomorrow and the next few days will be cooler. We’ll have AC installed in this house when we get back from the coast at the end of August.

It has been a huge change to begin living in this teeny weenie house. We’ve downsized by 1700 sq ft. This place is 1100 sq ft and our former residence was 2800+ sq ft. Both the front and back yards are nothing more than dirt and dried weeds that have been cut down. So our pups drag in the debris on their paws and our floor is just stained cement— can you visualize it? — I’m vacuuming several times a day and it mostly feels like we are camping out — in a tent, not an RV.

Potential — that’s what this place has plenty of — if we are able to visual what it can become, we’ll be okay.

But for now, we’re going to focus on our Moving Sale.
