Flower Friday: "Diable d'Or" (Plus Bee!)

I decided to photograph our Physocarpus Opulifolius ("Diable d'Or" - "Devil of Gold") today as it's lovely little florets are just beginning to open.

How lucky I was: I found a rather sick bee rummaging around on it, moving so much more slowly than a healthy bee. So I spent far longer than I meant to, trying to take best advantage of this opportunity. The light was rather poor as it's a very cloudy day, so I decided  to experiment with fill-in flash - something I've very rarely used and am not very good at. I learnt a lot (trial & error's a good way to learn!). Anyway, this is the result.
