Come Fly with Me, Come Fly , Come Fly Away

Today was all about the Kites. 

There is a "Red kite Trail through Galloway.   We took a drive south today - most of our excursions this week have been north bound.   We drove all the way to Stranraer and then headed inland.  

Lots of lovely countryside, and I spotted a birdie floating in the sky with a forked tail.  Quick Google search said "swallows and housemartins"  I checked my search and entered "Big Birds with Forked tail" And it came up with "Kites". 

Two minutes later we went past the sign...."Red Kite Trail".  Hmmm

We stopped in Castle Douglas for a wee cup of tea and found a lovely fresh fish van, from whence we bought some fish for tea. 

Then we headed back up the road - there are some real nutters on the road.
