THE SUMMER PLATE
Could be I blipped this plate once before. Never mind - it's the only shot I took today.
The legend on the back reads: "Hand painted on Royal Copenhagen Poecelain - Mary F. Daw - Paris 1956"
My mother, née Heddle lived "in sin" with the awful Dickie Daw from 1947 to 1980 - she changed her name by deed poll & I only learned of this after her death in1998 - crafty, discreet old bird!
Her teacher in porcelain painting was Danish - hence the Royal Copenhagen reference - she was a far better painter than her teacher!!
