Iconic!

When I first came to this city, the World Trade Centre was the tallest building on the horizon!! (Its the small, well lit one on the left)

Now, although it still proudly stands its ground, it is dwarfed by all the recent high risers that have just mushroomed around the area! I wonder how it feels about the intrusion into its space? If buildings could talk, what tales they'd have to tell.

Captured tonight as we went out for some air and excercise....retracing the path around the park that we did last Friday for the Breast Cancer Challenge. The breeze was just so welcome....cool and refreshing.

A short cut back through our 'ginormous' local supermarket to replenish the store cupboard with a few much needed provisions. Then, like ratty, badger and mole, not forgetting toad......home again to a light supper and liquid refreshment!
