Chihuly!

This is a piece by the artist, Chihuly (Chih-HOO-lee), called 'Float Boat'. He is featured at the Desert Botannical Gardens and let me tell you, it's some truly amazing stuff. We walked around the gardens all afternoon 'Oooh'ing and 'Ahh'ing at the installations, random tubes of glass that shoot up among the cacti or at Float Boat, which we found in a dry creek bed. It was almost sureal. The kids would run up ahead yelling, "Chihuly, Chihuly!", and then we'd sit and take pictures of the Chihulies with our cameras and phones, then race ahead to find the next one. Definetly look it up, because I can't really describe in words what it looked like.
I really like to say Chihuly.

Got some good shopping done today, and like I said, the afternoon was concerned with Chihulies alone. This evening while shopping at a local bargain store I came across a wonderful Michael Kors sweater. I love MK! It is loose enough to move around in, and made of a knit material so it's really soft and warm. Did I mention I love MK?
