Darwinian flower

In the interests of reproducing or of attracting food, plants have evolved to smell of all sorts of things - food or shit or sex. But this particular flower smelled of libraries and bags of sweets and the steel chains of playground swings. It’s hard to imagine any evolutionary advantage to it, but this flower smelled of her childhood.
