A Morning Walk
Thankfully the sun’s back, and this morning after breakfast we decided to go out for a walk. We walked up and over the headland, stopping to enjoy the views, and came down the other side, and went in search of the donkey we saw the other day.
This was my favourite view point, looking down on the beach with the little Chapel in the distance - look at the colour of the sea!
Sure enough we found the donkey, he’s so friendly, but it’s really sad as he seems to be permanently teathered by a long rope. I’m going to take some apples from breakfast and go back and feed him ;-). Alan took a great photo that I’ve put in my extras, together with one I took of him, taking that photo. I’ve also added a photo of a little lizard we saw, that had a bright blue tail, yet it’s a green lizard, I have no idea why it’s tail would be that colour!
From there we walked down to a little beach bar and sat and had a Fanta each, then went up to the little chapel again. We walked back the long way round, up European Union Street (strange name!), to Eucalyptus Street, stopped and had an ice cream, and then picked up some more cold drinks and a bottle of wine to put in our little fridge. Alan also bought a small bottle of Coffee Ouzo which he’s taken a liking to.
The rest of the afternoon has been spent at our pool, sunbathing and swimming. Tonight it’s Asian night again in the restaurant, so I’m looking forward to that as we chose to go to the other restaurant last week.then we’ll go to our usual beach bar later, but we’ll be having an early night as we’re going on a trip to the island of Symi tomorrow and are being picked up at 8am!
