Vacation Day 4

A late night for Chinese New Year so we slept in. A short walk and a bus ride and we got to the lake and off for a four hour boat ride. Tina did the negotiation of the price and we were off. We made a few stops. One at a beautidful hilltop temple and the other at what seemed to be a small farming village.

Got a lot of great bird pics on the water but the live ones didn't make it to the blip. This is a 'duck on a stick'.. A small duck that had been cooked and ready for the eating.

The water got really choppy on the trip with the swell about 1 meter. Had to concentrate heard so I didn't get seasick but it was a good trip. Tina didn't have a problem though. In to town for a very nice pizza at a small and comfy place called the Bamboo Cafe and then out for a nice walk around the old city which wasn't as calm with lots of fireworks going off most of the time.

It was also Australia day so double celebrations with Chinese New Year.
