Gairloch
Cloudy start to the morning but with the promise of an improving day we headed for Gairloch.
True enough the sun came out.
Beautiful views out across the Summer Isles and of the high mountains.
We even caught a glimpse of the ferry making its way up Loch Broom heading westwards for Stornoway.
Took our time on our journey to Gareloch enjoying the views.
The high peaks of Skye were clearly visible.
When we got to Gareloch we stopped for some tea and goodies at.
Some books were also purchased.
We then headed off for the harbour stopping at the beach en route.
Beautiful little beach with stunning views across the turquoise sea to Skye.
Fergus and I had a lovely paddle.
After our paddle we headed for the harbour where we had a super late lunch at the cafe there.
On the way back to the car we stopped at a little curio shop and purchased two old Spode plates with a blue transfer pattern called Camilla.
We have been looking out for some old plates like these to replace some old lunch plates which were by their best.
Super journey back to Ullapool the mountains were looking very majestic in the sun.
