Achiltibuie
Overcast start to the day.
This morning we popped into Ceard to visit our friend Jan.
Such a great shop so many lovely things made by artists working our living in the Ullapool area.
I had some birthday money left so I was able to treat myself to a couple of pictures by an artist living and working in Achiltibuie
Caught up with all the news we headed out of the village.
Passing Bridge House art we noticed Eleanor's car parked outside so we stopped and went into the studio.
Eleanor was busy preparing paper for her first course which starts next week.
We were introduced to her new teaching assistant, Nina, who had come all the way from Boston. Previously she had been a student on Eleanor's portfolio course and she will be working for several weeks here in Ullapool.
Nice to catch up and introduce Fergus.
We then headed out to Achiltibuie.
Although still overcast we had a great time taking pictures and enjoying being here.
We had lunch at the Piping Centre, which was lovely as usual.
Quick look round the Art exhibition at the village hall before heading back to Ullapool.
Again a super journey back to Ullapool with views of Sulliven and Stac Pollaidh.
This is a favourite spot to visit when Eleanor is taking a painting course.
Over the years we have seen the slow decay of the fishing boat in my extras.
