Ghost Bird

I was up early this morning and when I came down I saw this ghost bird on my kitchen window showing up in the morning sunlight. I suspect from the size and shape that it was a woodpigeon and it must have hit the glass with a rare old thump. I wonder if it was being chased - a sparrowhawk, perhaps? There was no sign of a body outside so it had either got, or been taken away. We'll never know.

I didn't have time for any other shots today so was glad I took this when I did. Just at the moment I have no time to spare on Blip but hopefully I'll have more time in a couple of days!
