Called To The Bar...

Today my friend and I were ladies who lunch. Here we are in the Golden Hind, a listed pub. Known as one of the 'Tollies Follies,' it was built in the 1930's by the Tollemache brewery and modelled on the family's stately home, I'm referring to the outside of course ! Lots of natural light with a huge skylight and large windows. Also a clock tower. The bar and dining area was displaying all the nations flags for the World Cup. Amused to see the notice for a pitcher of perfect Pimms as it's my friend's favourite drink but today we had a shandy each. I'm in the extra.
