New Beginings
The view I'll leave behind this morning.
Finally I feel like I'm getting sorted in my life in Le Puy. So I'm starting this as a kind of diary. You know it's the 21st century when instead of starting a new diary you start a new blog.
Today is the first day of les Vacances de Toussaint. I got up at 5.30 to start my journey to Montpellier with the lovely Ella. Between me and Montpellier lay a two and a half hour train journey and two hours of covoiturage! Scary stuff. Despite getting majorly lost in Lyon and having to make a few panicked phonecalls in terrible French, followed by struggling to make conversationa about French literature, I finally make it to Montpellier for a little look around the shops.
When I meet Ella at 6, we head to our apartment, which is lovely, and then out to dinner in a restaurant called Ma Premiere Cantine. It is incredible. I have a lasagne and a speculoos cheesecake. We have a much much needed catch up. Looking forward to a few days in supposedly one of the liveliest French cities. Vive les vacances.
