Translating life

Isn't it funny how one decision can change the whole course of your day. I finally got my campervan taxed and MOT'd so I brought her back home last night. I got up as usual at 0430 and while I was walking the dog I thought to myself "think I will give the van a wee run out this morning". It was this decision that changed the course of my day - I broke down on the way to the Gym!!!

This got me thinking about the whole concept of fate and destiny. Was it a spur of the moment decision or was I always destined to take the van today? Time sitting by the side of the road definitely gives you a moment to think - at the end of the day the van is just a machine. Machines can be fixed and if it can be fixed then you just buy a new thing! Are 'things' really that important??

I really am truly blessed as I share my home life with 3 beautiful girls who are all healthy and happy and love me as much as I love them. I have amazing friends who inspire me to be the best that I can be in life. These are the things you cannot live without. If it was a pizza, you could say that family are the base and friends the passata. Everything else that goes on top is just supplementary - all very nice and add additional flavours and textures. However, you can eat a pizza base with just the passatta and call it a margherita - but a pile of pepperoni really isn't much use without a base upon which to place it!

I am glad that I broke down today perhaps it was fate's way to remind what really are the important things in life :)
