Handstands in the garden.....

Anyone remember doing handstands against the wall??? Not sure if it's still done these days....that and 'Whinny the witch fell down the ditch ha ha ha'...with my tennis balls'... just how much fun could you have with a wall!  Anyway, I digress...... a day on foot today, a pretty walk from Bramber to Steyning this morning - gosh such pretty and posh buildings in these parts! 
Then a visit to St Mary's House and Garden, which is literally across the road from our cottage... and what a delight of a place.  Oh the history, a Pilgrim's Inn dating back to the 15th Century, and I may just have humbly trod in the footsteps of Queen Elizabeth the 1st and Charles the 2nd :O 
A last meal in The Castle Pub, again across the road from our cottage....how very handy it has been.  Home tomorrow..... what a fabulous break away.... it's been like being abroad, only with roses, Pimms and quintessential quirk :)
