Village Life

Took a nostalgic trip through the old part of Kings Worthy today, dominated by the parish church of St Marys.
It’s just a few miles from Winchester and the historians believe owes its origins to Winchester once being the capital of the Kingdom of Wessex.

Parts of the church itself date back to Norman times but in the main the building reflects restoration in Victorian times.

My own recollections of the village span a lifetime through family connections, though never having lived here myself.
