Melanie

In April, we attended the wedding of our friends, Melanie and Alan, in Gibraltar.  Everyone there knew Melanie did not have long to live, having been diagnosed with breast cancer seven years ago and told it had come back three years ago..  Nevertheless, the wedding was a lovely, happy occasion. I took lots of photographs and made a photobook from those and some from other guests. This is the cover of that book, showing Melanie and Alan and their two children, Charlotte and Joshua.

About 50 days after the wedding, Melanie passed away.  Today was her funeral - a sad occasion, brightened by the wonderful memories shared.
