Smiling and happy!

Gavin and I were out last night but when we got home Luke was there, very pleased to be home again. Unfortunately Meriel got a very late train to London and then it was delayed so she had a real problem getting to us as connecting trains were also delayed and cancelled - Luke eventually had to go fetch her from Vauxhall at 2am!

This morning we all went for brunch in the village and then Gavin and I went off to the garden centre to buy new herbs and another bird feeder stand (the original one it broke when he tried to move it for me). We - actually who am I kidding - Gavin then proceeded to dig out all the dead herbs from my tiny herb container and replant the new ones. He is also connecting an irrigation pipe to it so they will be watered regularly (as I keep forgetting to do it, hence the reason why they die in our dry and hot summer weather)

Luke and Meriel went up to London as she had been given a ticket to the Taylor Swift concert as a birthday present and Luke, like a good boyfriend, bought one to accompany her (much teasing from Thomas about that one, as he does not think much of Taylor Swift!) I gave them a lift to the station and as payback I claimed a photo of them!

The rest of us are home tonight, I made a chilli for supper and Thomas has some friends coming over later for a post exam relaxing evening just chilling over a few beers.
