The Unwashed
It has turned into one of those weeks!
On Monday morning I misjudged where the car was in relation to our garage door. One large scratch and a creased wing. Expensive repair to be done at the body shop on Monday. Yesterday we took the car for a 'summer health check' and asked for a rattle to be investigated. The rattle, which we thought was coming from the rear, turned out to be a broken front spring and we were advised not to drive the car until it was repaired. We have been driving it for about 3 or 4 weeks with that rattle but fortunately we don't use the car every day. We were pleased that it could be repaired there and then.
Then this morning, with a weeks worth of washing to be done, our 20+ year old washing machine died. We quickly decided that it wasn't worth paying money to try and get it repaied, especially as we are goingg
to Austria on Friday and will be away for almost two weeks. Luckily we have a good local electrical goods shop and they can deliver a new machine on Monday afternoon.
I was pleased that it was a lovely day for drying wet and soapy towels which hadn't even been completely washed. I decided it wasn't worth trying to wash and rinse them in the bath. They will be the first load in the new machine on Monday.
