Poppy Flower with Seed Heads

At last summer is here. It is as if the weather knew that we are in meteorological summer and has been getting warmer over the past few days. According to our garden thermometer it is 22.5 degC in the shade at 6 pm. I don't suppose we will get the promised heatwave here in the North East but if it stays like this for the rest of the week I will be happy.

I watched the final of Queens tennis today, which was a great match, but I'm disappointed that Djokovic lost.
