Puzzle Pieces

After breakfast Liz heads off to work. It’s a Saturday, but she’s involved in a well that’s being drilled somewhere offshore Norway. Data is arriving, and decisions need to be made.

The kids play, and I set about reinstating the block paving I removed eighteen months ago when the fibre internet was installed. I’ve left it this long so the trench fill would be fully compressed, and it certainly has. The excess gravel gets used to fill a depression under an area of turf I’ve lifted on the south lawn, smoothing the way for a second lawn-mowing robot.

[Aside: The main benefits of lawn-mowing robots. 1) Reduced noise. 2) Significant space liberated in garage/shed]

In the evening we do some very late planning for our summer camping trip. It’ll either be south to the Vercors, or north to the arctic.
