Tree Ferns

They are amazing - like something from a tropical rain forest. I came across them at Homebase in Abingdon which pleasantly surprised me with its lovely plant selection - clearly someone who knows what they are doing is in charge there. At £100 a pop I didn’t bring a large tree fern home with me, and with a mature plant spread of 4m x 4m I’m not sure I could fit one in.

Just as I was paying all the staff ran out to stop a couple of men who’s put a pressure washing in a trolley and were wheeling it away without paying. The manager took it back, the men shrugged, got in their car and drove away. Is theft so easy and without consequence?
