Looking across to the little cemetery

Over 20 people turned out for the Calgary bay beach clean, our reward was a wander over the fenced off machair - to prevent sheep from grazing at certain times of the year. The result is beautiful with patches of flowering thyme, orchids, birds foot trefoil, ox eye daisy and more.... and growing on the sand dunes ‘biting stonecrop’ as in extra, please correct me knowledgeable people, it’s the nearest description I can find. A wonderful afternoon finishing with tea, cake and chat. Afterwards a visit to friends along the road for more tea.
