Grand Mountains

We thought we'd done rather well to position ourselves in a campsite where we could get the first cable car up the mountain at 8.30 am. Stepping out of the cable car, blow me down if there wasn't a camper van car park right up there and a handy ( if rather long and winding) road leading to it! Could have saved ourselves about 40 Euros and seen the sunrise in the mountains! Aaaarrgh!
Never mind, you can't find this information out, just put it down to experience.
We drove through some beautiful mountain scenery in the Abruzzo National park and worked our way back to the coast again as the weather seemed a bit better away from the mountains. It was fine first thing,  but then big clouds built up.
The photo was taken looking towards the peaks of the Gran Sasso mountains, this isn't the biggest but I liked the contours.
We are now on the coast just south of Rimini , about at the insertion of the hamstrings behind the knee.  We shall not be going to Rimini as I've seen the pictures and it looks very crowded.
