George Monbiot

George Monbiot is a writer, journalist and environmental activist. He advocates rewilding – the mass restoration of ecosystems. He believes that rewilding should involve reintroducing missing animals and plants. He has written many articles on climate change.

He came to the Preston New Road fracking site this afternoon to support and talk to anti-fracking protesters. He stood in and spoke from the entrance to the fracking site, and it looks like the security guard at the back doesn’t know what he is supposed to do about it.
