Hidden, sweltering London

Has anyone else noticed how hotel prices in London have rocketed ? Since you now can pay silly money for a basic room, you might as well go a tad further and explore new places.

I’m staying in Fitzrovia. It’s new to me.....and so far I’m impressed. Relaxed, happy, this was the lunchtime scene in the charming Fitzroy Square.

Since It’s now too expensive to travel down from the Midlands for an 11.00 am “Don Giovanni” rehearsal start tomorrow, I might as well have a true mini break.

And as I’m here, well, why not Captain Poldark himself in the West End tonight........?
