Shadow hands

At the Yorkshire Sculpture Park today, many of the exhibits were made of or about trees of various kinds, both indoors and in the searing heat outside.

My favourites today included Zak Ove's massive installation of 80 warriors "Black and Blue: The invisible man and the masque of blackness" which, from a certain angle, looked like the England squad had popped over for a day or two to practice defensive formations for their game against Belgium.

I also enjoyed Chiharu Shiota's "Beyond Time" in the chapel.

This Blip however was hand-made as I remembered the Blip Central strictures against posting photographs of works of actual art. It was taken in the deer shelter, the coolest place at the YSP today, where a square of daylight in the centre of the roof creates fabulous light and shade in the room below. A shadow selfie was also possible.
