Finally I’ve started...

For years I’ve wanted a granny square throw. Not sure whether I expected one to just float down from above or something but it hasn’t happened so I better just get on with it myself. This is the beginning of the first granny square and will be the first I have ever crocheted. Yesterday evening YouTube showed me the magic loop to start it and I remembered how to do that this morning so bought a ball of yarn and set off... will order a mixed pack from amazon shortly which is half the price of buying locally.
The only thing I yet have to decide is how big the square should be...
