Nature’s Nabari....
When I talk about my bonsai, sometimes words are used that describe concepts with Chinese or Japanese derivation.
Today’s blip shows the natural Nabari coming out from a very old Oak tree. Simply put, Nabari are roots on the surface of the ground. It only happens with age, erosion, and root growth.
Therefore, when we are creating a bonsai we try to enhance our illusions of age by lifting roots to the surface and develop that look.
