Graduation Day

James didn’t look like this for the formal proceedings (and they were formal), in the magnificent setting of Durham Cathedral. It was all very well organised and the event went very smoothly. No one tripped up the steps on receiving the Chancellor, Thomas Allen’s handshake, but I was on high heel alert and fairly nervous for some of the girls.

A beautiful very hot day. We’ve done lunch and packed up most of James’s house. Now enjoying a short lull before more celebrations and a formal dinner at Grey College this evening.

It’s so lovely to be here with all the family, what a proud Mum I am. See extras.
