1/ the parking spaces on Market Street are exactly the same length as an Aston Martin Vanquish
2/the 'Poppy Scotland' people are really on the ball this year
3/ Haddington has a most excellent spice shop
4/Terry Butcher, ex footballer, is a huge bloke
5/ he's also very polite
6/ his wife seems to have the patience of a saint
7/ too many sandwiches in Pret a Manger have cucumber for my liking
8/every second person in Edinburgh today was carrying a camera
