Eastbourne Tennis
I think I mentioned one of the main reasons for visiting Eastbourne this week is the tennis. We had Centre Court tickets for the quarter finals today and went with Emma and Andy. The weather was hot, like really hot and sitting in it to watch tennis was not all that comfortable, though we had covered up with sunscreen and hats. By the fourth match, Britain's number one, Kyle Edmund v Kukushkin, the shadows had lengthened and it was a little better out of the sun. Unfortunately Kyle was beaten in three sets though he received tremendous encouragement from the home-based crowd. The main picture is the court with Edmund serving (possibly into the net!). The extras are leading women's player Caroline Wozniacki, from Denmark, serving in her match against Australian Ashleigh Barty and Britain's Cameron Norrie chasing a ball in his match against Lacko.
We finished the evening with a visit to Harry Ramsden's for a fish and chip tea.
