150

No, it's not the speed limit (wish it was, I'll tell you later why). The Vehoniemi Car Museum celebrated "150 years" last month. The number is actually the sum of the age of the family business (90 years) and the age of the current owner, Leila Suutarinen (60 years). Her birthday was on the same day as the business anniversary, but that was a few weeks ago.

The business was started by as Leila's grandfather bought a lorry in the spring of 1928. The lorry was the Chevrolet in the photo. During the next generation, the business evolved into a car museum which is now accompanied by a popular café and model shop. The family was also involved in founding the Finnish traffic museum Mobilia which is located nearby.

I spotted a special looking VW Beetle in the parking lot. I read about this one (easily recognizable) recently. It's an early 50's model, it was left under a tree in mid 60's and taken indoors 30 years later. It has been (partly) restored just lately.

The speed limit part... I didn't slow down quickly enough in one crossing when the speed limit dropped from 80 to 60 km/h on the way back. Flash! And bill is on the way...
