Another dry day.
The silage contractor in mowing grass ready to chop tomorrow. His big tractor and 9 m cut triple gang mowers make my tractor and mower look like a Dinkey toy.
On the down side he filled up with diesel when he finished cutting the 116 acres. 391 litres of diesel for 116 acres worked out at £ £1.95. / acre for fuel alone .
A morning spent sorting out my spring calving cows and shifting them to another field as the grass is burning up in the field they were in . We could do with some rain, but not in the hay or silage fields !
