Hot Springs
Before leaving Banff this morning, we headed to the town’s natural hot springs fed by Sulphur Mountain. The outdoor pool has a wonderful view of the mountains and was a balmy 39 degrees compared to the air temperature of 13.
For a couple of dollars extra you can hire an ‘historic’ swim suit, the same design worn when the pool opened in 1932. Much too hard to resist, we of course got togged up and actually apart from being heavyweight, the suits were flattering and really comfortable....
We hit the road for our last stop before heading back to Vancouver tomorrow, arriving at charming Revelstoke by late afternoon - a couple of quick stops on the way took us to the giant cedar boardwalk (beautiful) and the skunk cabbage walkway (a bit damp and not as smelly as it sounds).
