Departure

Departure day, but our flight is not until the afternoon so we have time for a last wander round and a few acquisitions. We buy some custard tarts, a local speciality, and a few postcards.
After check out we are lucky to get a bus to the airport almost immediately, and to my relief it is not too busy. Having read the horror stories about Lisbon’s Terminal two I am resigned to the worst, but in fact everything goes very smoothly. We have quite a long wait for the flight as we have been over generous in allowing for delays, so we settle comfortable next to the bar and had a couple of rolls for lunch.
Much to my surprise the flight boards on time and arrives in Edinburgh on time. There is quite a bit of snow in Edinburgh, and the walk over to the car to drop off some off my baggage is not too pleasant. That done we get a bus to Edinburgh and then a taxi to our accommodation.
