Triana District
This morning we walked along and across the river to the Triana district. The guide book said we should come here because of the ceramics factory and ceramics shops. For us the highlight was the back streets and the covered market. We could have stayed longer in the market, there was a variety of stalls, all advertised with ceramic tiles. Mostly food stalls, fish, meat and vegetables, spices and wines. There are a couple of wine bars in the market as well, I thought it was a little too early to indulge.
One of the attractions of the city is the orange trees (extra). There are oranges everywhere. Apparently the oranges of Seville are not good to eat as they are too bitter, and are only suitable for marmalade. In one of the Plaza we saw there were gardeners shaking the trees to dislodge the loose oranges. I suppose they would feel rather heavy if one landed on somebody's head, it must happen from time to time.
In the evening we ventured to another Tapas bar. It was next door to the one we went to yesterday. The tapas were very different. It was difficult for me to decide which of the two is better, though there was one tapa this evening which is definitely my favourite and will have to be repeated.
