Not A Happy Birthday

Tonight The Man should have had birthday candles but, we don't eat much cake and our celebrations were subdued by devastating news about something we have been concerned about for a couple of days.

Tonight we were told of the tragic death of our neighbour. Our thoughts are with the family who have grown up with our own.

In better moments, I'm glad one of my recent holiday kingfishers printed out well enough for a card for The Man, and a gift of Glen Moray is being enjoyed as I write this. We will have chance for birthday celebrations when we go out for a meal on Saturday.
