Port Ban

Walked to Port Ban today on the western side of Iona, last night's promising skies didn't produce. It was much cooler today.
The beautiful white sand of the beach at Port Ban is actually tiny pieces of broken shells. I spent ages collecting tiny pink cowries. In the summer the shallow waters of the bay are apparently warm enough and very safe for swimming. Not today they weren't.
