World Book

Not as quaint as Arthur Mee's Children's Encyclopædia. Where is M13 you ask? Symmetry. Why lumber yourself with a bunch of books weighing in at nearly 70lbs when we have the internet and Wikipedia? Because they are not the internet or Wiki. One can never tire of reference books. And who could resist a buck-a-book (EDIT: too easy) 50¢ a book which is how much I bid on them at yesterday's silent auction. This edition was published nearly ten years ago and was still wrapped in cellophane.

       Still very hot and dry. Temperatures have been consistently about 90ºF/32ºC all this week. The prospect of fireworks for July 4th is very remote.
